Installation day(s) is nearly here - just 2 more sleeps!
Unsettlingly we seem to be all under control and ready to hang!
To read a bit of background about this
ecological print project, initiated by Celia Walker, please visit my earlier post here.
A huge amount of work has been steadily gathering from the 7 artists involved:
Celia Walker,
Elle Anderson,
Esther Hansen,
Ina Arraoui,
Kheang Ov,
Nicola Ov
and myself.
Plus a "truck load" of incredible works by
a group of Esther Hansen's year 13 students from Pukekohe High School.
Here is just a taster of some, not all of the work produced thus far.
A HUGE thank you to everyone involved for all
of your hard work!

Celia had a sudden urge to create just a few more cyanotype panels.
With a little over a week to go Celia and I met to have a practice run
to test possible combinations, compositions and the practicalities of hanging the works.
Our nerves were somewhat soothed and it left us feeling super excited for the big install.
Just one more...
and then... 1 week out, I had a last minute grand idea
to design and cut a large lino block of Blue Morning Glory to print in multiples,
construct, and hang from the rafters! (The morning glory - not me).
Nothing like a time pressure to motivate me into action!
Well that WAS FUN!!
Sparked some new ideas for another exhibition... hmmm...
Accompanying exhibition of works:
Aside from the installation we are each exhibiting works
of a related theme about the fragility of our forest remnants.
Here's a few teasers!

So, now the preps all done, I think... hopefully...
Its just a matter of loading up the car
(and what a load it will be!)
Oh and the little matter of putting all this work together
in a cohesive and stunning way...
wish us luck! (gulp)
